I have a broad breasted bronze hen that has become broody, or at least I think she is.....she is in with my Gould's hen and tom (who pays her absolutely no attention whatsoever) and was squatting down for whoever came around her- me, my kids, the dog, you name it...anyway, she and the Gould's hen have been laying somewhat regularly- I take their eggs everyday the Goulds have been fertile and we have been hatching them- the BBB have all been infertile.
So a week ago, both hens quit laying and the BBB has gone into the doghouse and set up shop- she has pulled most of her breast feathers out to line a nest even though there are no eggs in there at all. Both hens are not laying now- I am assuming the Goulds quit because the BBB has claimed the doghouse-
What should I do if anything? I am concerned about her not eating although she may be coming out to eat and drink, I don't know...help!!!
