Hoping buckeye not a rooster

I know this is a silly question but can a rooster be spayed? So they can’t make babies . Are they all mean?

It is *possible* to castrate a cockerel, but it is a painful, and usually difficult, procedure that often results in the death of the bird. Most vets won't do it.

No they can not. But if you Handel them as babies they can be really nice. And if you collect the eggs you won't get chicks. A lady I know has a roo that loves to cuddle.

Yes. But your bird has a hug bright red comb for eight weeks. Also pointed hackle feathers. All point to cockerel.

If you get them right away the embryo didnt develop enough the most you may get is a blood spot

An egg will not develop a chick inside of it unless it has been incubated.

Maybe at first or they can be totally fine. You may be able to keep him if he stays nice!
