Recently lost a lot of Chickens and Rooster pets due to a fox attack. I have 3 eggs in the incubator. 2 of them are from two of my chickens that are gone. I think I know who one mum was. But the other one I am hoping against hope is from a chicken that I hand-reared years ago. she was a sweetheart. so I'm really hoping I can get one of her babies. The father is most likely my Favorite Rooster "Whitey" He was a survivor and he died trying to protect his girls. So I'm really hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel.
I set the first egg on the 12th, the next on the 13th, and one on the 19th.
I Candled them yesterday and they were alive and moving a little. However, the 19th egg has nothing but a dot for now.
When I candled them tonight I couldn't see very much movement. I'm not too worried about that though. I've done this a few times now and sometimes they dont feel like moving lol. Air sac looks ok for such early days. a little small still. Humidity has been ~55%RH might see if I can get it lower. we have high ambient humidity atm so should be ok.
I'll report back every few days with an update
