Hoping for pullets

Can anyone tell me what gender these are? Sorry for the awful pics but I tried hard. There are only 3 birds pictured. Two barred rocks (I think they are) and 1 Rhode island red. They are around 6 weeks old.

I think the barred birds have rose combs which would make them Dominiques.

If the combs are red at 6 weeks you have cockerels.

I may be wrong, but those combs are very pink for just 6 weeks, I'm guessing cockerels.

Im no expert but isnt it the case that with barred chickens the darker coloured ones are female and the lighter ones are male? In which case your dominques are one pullet and one cockerel...

That has always been the case for me, but both of these birds have very red combs for their age.
