I am really hoping that I am worrying for nothing...
LittleBit - is a Crested Cream Legbar - 24 weeks. She just started laying last week. She was giving us small blueish eggs. Sunday, we were thrilled that we had 4 eggs from our 4 hens for the first time! Monday we had 4 again! But, as we are shutting everything up for the night LittleBit lays another egg - in the middle of the yard - she seemed as surprised as we were! As if it just slipped out? This egg was not blue. It was as if it had no shell - just squishy, translucent - you could almost see the yolk. I posted about it here and the consciences was she is fine - just because she is young and just started laying.
The next morning, around 7am - when I went out to take care of the littles and clean the coop - there was another shell-less egg! She did not lay a blue egg on Tuesday. Today - so far there is another shell-less egg in the coop. It wasn't my morning, so I cleaned the coop around noon and found this egg. As I was leaving, LittleBit showed me her poop - it looked like dark green water. Otherwise she shows no signs of illness.
We are still pretty new to poultry. Should we be concerned? Anything I need to look for or do? THANKS IN ADVANCE
EDIT - Forgot to mention. They have layer pellets AND free choice Oyster Shells in a bowl on the side. The are free to roam half of the property all day.
