Our three chickens were hatched in my daughter's kindergarten class on April 11th, so they are about 9 weeks old. Pretty sure that Browny is a cockerel (he also crowed a few days ago). How about Lemmy? Lemmy gets into skirmishes with Browny quite often. We are hoping Carmy is a pullet. Can anyone tell the breed? Thank you!

My best guess - all boys. I have 7 & 11 week olds right now all straight run. About half of my flock of 28 7 week olds are boys. Couldn't tell you the breed for sure. I'm guessing a mix. Hope someone else with more experience will chime in. Good luck!

Thank you! I guess I should play the lottery--three out of three :)
Considering keeping one and buying some pullets (I know of a ranch that will take the other boys). Is it smart to keep a roo and two hens if my objective is eggs for my family?

You only need a roo if you want to hatch out chicks +/or for the girl's protection. If you only have a few girls for the roo, the girls will get mated too often & could cause them damage. My last roo left a couple of gashes in their backs & left no feathers on their backs. Some roos are gentler with their girls than others, but you really need to give these guys a decent harem to minimize damage. Just my 2 cents.
