Hoping to add a new hen

Hi everyone! We have been wanting a blue egg layer and have some black ameracaunas we can buy locally. They are about 4 months, almost the same as our girls.

I have been reading on introducing a new chicken but I have a couple of questions:

1- Our roosters will be leaving us next week. Does that make it a good time to do this or a bad time?

2- We have seven pullets now (4 buff orpingtons, 2 barred rocks, 1 silkie). Is it better to introduce one new girl or should I get two?

I'm new also, but from reading & my understanding the replies should go like this. Please correct me if i've misunderstood.
1. Yes, disruption should be good to make all changes.
2. Get 2 (or more following chicken math) to spread the integration. Otherwise the single will get all the attention.
