So i got a male from a friend of mine. He was a Crele rooster and a cross, himself.

Father - Laced Wyandotte x Easter Egger, Crele color
Mother(s) - Pure white Ameraucana x Father or White&Gold Ameraucana (EE?) x Father

Both hens laid blue eggs.

Mothers must have had blue hidden in their genetics as many of the babies that hatched have blue tones in their feathers. IMG_20200821_162507.jpg IMG_20200821_162326.jpg IMG_20200821_162211.jpg IMG_20200821_161335.jpg IMG_20200821_161209.jpg IMG_20200821_161144.jpg
One of the moms. My pure white hen passed away. :(

I d am not an eggspert, but I do not believe that Wyandotte egg color is dark enough to make an olive egger, I may be missing something, but you never really eggsplain the colors of the eggs that the hens laid.

I was wondering if it'd be olive or more minty, though.

So if you want a bird that lays olive green eggs you need to cross your blue egg layers with a rooster that lays dark brown eggs such as a Marans or a Welsommer. 😊

Some of these babies have dark green legs. I've never really raised EE birds but I've been told that leg color can be indicative of egg color. 🤔 Not always of course, BUT. It has me curious. One of the hens has blue-blue legs and a few have dark green, along with the blue and red roo having dark green.
