Only have the water system to finish in my new coop , The girls just spent there first night in it.
I have a 15x8 foot metal roof that is is guttered into a downspout with a Leaf-eater filter on it that feeds a 30 ish gallon barrel for water storage.
Now I am planning on having a 1" pvc pipe go across one wall of the coop then drop down " and come back to the water source so I can install a circulation pump for the winter and put a stock tank heater in the barrel to prevent freezing.
Now my question.
How high should I have my horizontal water nipples? I will have two rows about 4" apart in height. my thinking is that I will have the two rows of pipe anyway, and it will allow me to have two heights of nipples for diffrent age birds.
Currently I have 4 Barred Rocks that are 7 ish weeks old.
