Yay!! One of our neighbors up the road has a Huge, long building that they used (a long time ago) for restoring cars and doing mechanic work..They recently cleaned some of it out to make room for other stuff and they left a GIANT pile of wood and stuff at the end of the building! We finally stopped to check it all out and ask about it and they happily said "take it all! whatever you want!" ((YIPPEE)). There was a giant crate, most likely from a shipped engine & a ton of siding type boards...there were also some really pretty colored shelving boards (like from the 60's) that we plan on trying to make some really cool nesting boxes out of..they're bright, pastel orange, bright green & bright blue!

There are also a lot of ladder-looking pieces that i am hoping to use as a run frame.

I can't wait to get started on the new coop and other stuff..i think I am going to make a coop for my Frizzles.

I LOVE free stuff!

Photo police, here. Sorry, M'am, but you're going to have to show us PICTURES of the stuff you build!! (Please?!)

Free stuff rocks!

I love free stuff! And recycled stuff is great--try joining freecycle.org to get all your building materials for free from other members. You can even rehome all those 'extra' roos that way.

Most awesome find!

Must show pics when you have it in process and when done.

I LOVE all my free stuff and the cull bin at Home Depot. I even went to Lowes and found a cull pack for 70 bucks, it had full length lumber in it and most of it was 10 ft or longer. There were quite a few 2x8's and bigger too. If I had just went in to buy the individual pieces it would have been 250 dollars.

Not sure what to call my little coop made with cull lumber. Maybe " The Culloop ".

You really must show us what you do with all the cool pieces.

I was looking at craigslist free ads which i almost never do and got a 16 foot trailer load of lumber this week free,it's mostly 2+6 and decks boards 80% good stuff.
