Congratulations!!! What a cutie
Now peaches, you have been horseless for a bit. What made you take the plunge? What kind of riding do you plan on doing?
Oh what fun!!!!

Oh, I have had horses my whole life, but I had only ever worked with Friesians professionally, being owned by other people. I liked their personality so much that I wanted to have one for my own.

They are a complicated breed in that they come with their own set of health and genetic issues one must look for, and are of course expensive (at least for me!). So it took many years for me to accumulate the capital to purchase a foal. And a very specific foal with bloodlines I liked and seemed to have the traits I was looking for.

I dream of one day competing my boy in open Dressage shows!

Well, that sounds pretty darn awesome, i am so happy for you. They are beautiful horses and I am sure will be worth every penny... especially since money can't buy you love, well, according to John, Paul, Ringo and George it can't.

No worries! There's a lot going on in this thread!

My colt gives me and my family a lot of joy everyday.

He turns one year old in June and I wanted to get some nice conformation shots. We'll see how well that goes...

Tell me. Am I the only one who enjoys taking photos of horses eyes? I find that you can tell a lot my looking at a horses eyes. Like some horses have kind eyes and you can tell.

Had a dressage lesson this morning, every Wednesday and Friday. Went well, Charlie (the pony I usually ride) went really, really, REALLY well! We were doing walk to canter! No bucks! Not even a head toss. We have been perfecting this movement for ages now!

My mum is teaching Charlie flying changes....she won't let me yet though. We already do leg yeild - it is really easy. Trust me, leg yeild is the most easy! You'll get it straight away.

I know how to do one I just have to teach Hudson, I have done them at the trot on him I just have to perfect them
