Mosquitos are poor flyers, keep a strong fan blowing. I like to use livestock powder, it seems to reduce
the fly population over a few weeks, then I sporadically spray. Oddly the brand Bronco worked really well
one year and poorly the next. The bumps you are seeing might be an allergic reaction to the fly spray. Oh,
vaseline over bot eggs works well too. I also will slather it on any hotspots the bugs are picking at like under
the belly of pastured horses, the vaseline forms a barrier they flys can't get through. I believe the livestock powder
also forms a physical barrier as well, kind of like diametrious earth. Maybe horses like to roll in mud because it gums
up biting insects biting apparatus, so I'm guessing a mouthful of insect powder can't be too yummy.
