Horse lovers - John Henry is gone...

I thought I'd pass this along for folks who may have missed it...
For those of us who love horses in general and thoroughbreds in particular, we had a sad but not unexpected loss this week.
The mighty John Henry, 2-time horse of the year and multiple stakes winner, was euthanized on Monday at the grand old age of 32. Sadly, his legacy ends with him, as he was so naughty and cranky

he was gelded at an early age.
I'm sad - another old warrior that I remember watching race when I was young is gone...

awww- I remember seeing him at the Kentucky Horse Park a number of times. He was a great one!

I know,,,I heard about it the other day and being a Thoroughbred owner I was very aware of his long life! He really was one of the lucky ones.
