YAY! Horse thread! I own 2 horses... Ok maybe more like 1 1/2 since one is a mini

My big guy is a QH/TB cross. He's 27 now and I've had him since he was 8. He used to be my eventing horse but he is happily retired now and sticks to trail rides and hanging out in the pasture with his girlfriend. She is a 10 year old mini-horse who occassionally carts around my BF's kids but otherwise gets to be an adorable pasture ornament.

Rey in his eventing days:

I also lease a beautiful dressage horse. He's a Hanoverian gelding named Watchman who is trained through PSG and has been an awesome partner this year. I'm hoping to do a little competing with him this summer if my crazy schedule allows

Beautiful horses everyone!

I endurance ride with my Arab/Saddlebred. Here we are in the Huron Nat'l Forest near Grayling, MI. We've completed 570 miles of UMECRA competitions, plus many many more in conditioning and pleasure. She used to be a hunter/jumper but since I don't like to jump, we just did long trail rides then eventually tried distance.

Fellow Horse Owners:

We sure could use a hand over on the Stolen Horse thread with our media calling/emailing/writing campaign. Any new blood would sure be great to help take up the gauntlet!

We CAN get this done with more people chiming in!

Thanks ahead of time for any help you can chip in!

Another horsey person here..We have 1 large pony..

Luna our pasture puff pony, approx. 10-11 years old, QH-Cross pony mare, 14hh... before having corrective trimming, she could get shorter... maybe 13.2-13.3hh.

Well here's Booger ! He's my 10 yr old APHA . I've had him since he was 1 yr 3 months and did all of the training myself . I only have a few pics since my hardrive crashed and these were the ones that were saved on BYC . This was last June when he decided to have a fight over the fence with the neighbors geldings ( I have 2 mares also ) . Some of you might remember what me and Booger have gone through , but I should be able to start working with him in about 2 weeks after I get back from school !

4 weeks into bandaging

It took 4 months of three different antibiotics and 4 months of daily bandaging ( which we couldn't really afford since we both still have really not been back to work for 1/12 yrs ) but he's finally doing good , just a tiny bit of proud flesh . I'll get some different pics loaded when I can figure out the new computer !

This my QH/Arab gelding Hawk when we were still jumping. Now he is retired to be my mom's trail horse.

Hawk again this time I am trying to stay on because we were competing in an obstacle trail ride and he was pretty wired.

This is my paint gelding Chili. We like to compete in halter, western pleasure and trail. Also we love to trail ride.

I competed in western pleasure all through college, and then for a few years after as well. I did well, but got tired of all the politics involved. Not WHAT you know but WHO you know. I wanted to get into reining really bad for awile, but there is none anywhere aound me. So, my hubby Wayne and I now enjoy trail riding on Tank & Sumo our Belgian geldings.
