Well I think I found her. This is a 7 yr old reg paint mare. They think she is a bleached out black and white as she is reg as black and white but she is not black and white, i think she is buckskin and white. anyway she fits her well, mare is very well put together and scrams 4h to me. She is for sale for 1100.oo totally in my price range. She has been trail ridden bunches, but not shown. Clean legs, and her bloodlines have lots of HUS and sire has some cow lines too.

So I think we are about sold.Trainer goes to look wed of next week. So what do you think?

this is the youtube video of her riding yesterday.

looks ok, about right for the price I think. It would have been nice to see someone who could ride on her and to demostrate if she bends her body or bends at the pole. Good thing your trainer is going to look 1st!

edit: does she jump, are you planning on doing that?

mare does not look bad. rider needs to relax and work on their seat. Id put the kid on a longe line and take the reins away and work for a good long while on the balance and posture. once that settles I think they'd make a nice pair. mare seems quite, reasonable and sound. plus I like paints lol.

If she can not jump, she can learn LOL!

She looks like a lovely mare, better than the ones you had before.

Let's wait to see what the teacher has to say and go from there! I agree with Blue.

She has a little experience over fences, not tons. Kid says she has WAY more suspension than her little morab.

babyblue I agree mare does seem quite reasonable and sound. She has enough get up and go as DD does not like a dead horse.

Mare is either 15.1 or 2 with a decent body. As i said this mare SCREAMS 4h mount to me and seems to be put together well enough to do halter and showmanship as well.

Her feet need to be looked to as she has surface cracks and a chip out of one. But no lameness issues. Trainer will take her over some fences on wed. Mares name is Cocoa.

Ewesheep yes I think she is the nicest we have looked at also. My never wrong friend who breeds paints/pintos says she is also the most well bred horse of any we have looked at. I have also looked at about 6 others I didn't even post about cuz it was obvious they were a no.

With the foot issues, a good one would be the vet's visit before you close the sale.

Other than that, it's been a very dry year or very wet. Moisturizers would help the hooves retain their shine and better diet if she needs a little "ump" in her grain.

I always recommend asking the owners to do a two week trial at your place (with a deposit) as well as a vet evaluation. I teach groundwork and horseback riding to kids and the stable owner has bought several horses only to find out they were injected/drugged etc... I may be a bit cynical but better safe than sorry right.
