Under normal conditions just throwing a horse out to pasture in bad conditions I have to agree. However, all of Texas is having issues with dry dead grass from freezes and absolutely no rain. It is pretty pitiful down here really. Fed the cattle more than normal this year so far and no break in sight. I sure hope Spring brings us some rain.

Good Luck with your Mare. I am sure it will take months to get her looking decent. Your vet will help you more than anyone here because he has the hands on approach verses us! LOL
