“Cool” she whinnied, Jenny swung off Mirage’s back and began to unsaddle the mare and pulled the mare’s headstall out of the saddlebags. As she took the bridle off she quickly slipped the halter on and tied her up the the tree. “Here Silver” Jenny fed him a carrot and fed Mirage an apple.

Silver neighed with pleasure and ate the carrot hungrily, he started walking toward the river to get a drink after all that running when the headstall yanked him back and he remembered he'd had it on.

Jenny saw him go for the water. Quickly she untied him and Mirage and took them to the river for a drink she smiled and allowed them to drink.
