Storm raced toward the intruders, who happened be made up of some older men out for a ride, storm glanced at the horses they were on and flared his nostrils angrily, he reared up and told the domestic equines to leave, they reluctantly left, or so storm thought....
 
Storm turned to leave when he heard the pounding of hooves, he glanced behind him just as a rope was thrown around his neck, he tugged and pulled the rope from the humans hands, but another rope was thrown around his back leg, he bucked and kicked but to no avail the other human grabbed hold of the rope around his neck and tied it to the saddle of his horse

The herd heard the distressed whinnies. “No Storm!” Shy neighed. She ran toward the end of the forest and seen Storm being roped. “Stay in the trees herd!” She neighed as she reared up in fury.

Storm saw his mate coming out of the trees, his heart pounded as he thought about what to do," NO!! Please stay Back! " He cried in anguish, knowing they'd catch her too if she came any closer, he couldn't take it if they caught her...

Sky stared at him in panic, wondering what she could do to save him.

Storm stared at sky with a pleading look, a look that said " please be safe" or " I'll come back,". He pulled at the ropes, but the force of three horses plus there riders was too much, the humans dragged him away and he cast one last look at his beloved," I'll come back to you," he whispered, as a tear rolled down his dark furred face.

Sky watched in horror as she was frozen, watching her only love be dragged away from her.
