Horse Talk

Well that creates a new problem, I need enough land for growing hay AND keeping horses

And also some intense farm equipment.

Phff, i solved the root of the problem, didn't i? The rest is just details :D

I personally would breed Suffolk punch drafts to do all the farm work for me. But that's just me :p

Ok, not going to try to read this whole thread, I'm just going to pop in here and say hello.

I am officially insane, I am down to 6 horses now since I have had to put 2 of the old guys down over the last few years. Well, 5.25 horses in actuality.. there is no way that the Mini counts as more than 0.25 horses.

It's like chicken math for horses!

Miniature horse people say minis are like potato chips . . . .
You just wanna put em in a bag and smash em? One is more than enough for me. Little bugger is pretty much useless and won't even stay in the darn fence... Cute though...

My first was a mini mule. A friend who considered herself a horse dealer had bought her, and tried for several months to re-sell her. The mule and a mini foal kept escaping under a chain-link fence and running around the neighborhood. Finally, my friend called everyone she could think of and asked, "would you like a mule, free?" I was the first who said, "yes." I told my mother I had been the recipient of the proverbial gift horse. Or maybe, half a horse. Or maybe, half-of-a-half-a-horse. The rest, as they say, is history . . . A few weeks later, the mule was joined by the mini foal, who I wound up buying a couple of years later. A few months after that, we added a third. They are characters, and I love every one of them - even the man-eater.

I know right! They're so.... oh how do you say.... hardy, solid, sustainable, ya catch my drift? :p

Right. They look majestic to me. :)

Omg I just looked them up. They're so fat I looooove them. Could you imagine riding one bareback? They're so think you wouldn't even be able to fall off
