Good news:
-Phoenix has shed pretty much all his winter coat and he looks beautiful.
-Me and Phoenix had some good bonding time today.
-Worked on going forward and turning with June and made a tiny bit of progress.
-Worked on walk/trot voice commands while lunging with June and made a ton of progress.
-Learned that June handles standing tied like a pro.
-June and Phoenix are really starting to bond, it was all about the amount of space.
-June had her first bath yesterday and was very good.
Bad news:
-June was as stubborn as a mule for most of the time riding, she would throw her head up, back up, and try to nip my legs.
-She also kept slamming me into the fence, she was stuck to the fence like glue today, my knees have a million bruises.
-June also hurt her leg a little bit somehow, or more likely her hoof, she had little rocks in it that I picked out but was still walking on it like it was a little tender, if the rocks were what caused it then that could be why she was stubborn, and if that's so then I feel really bad, but she didn't show it till the end of our time together, but I'm giving her a few days to rest and then seeing how she is.
Also; I'm considering building a new round pen, in a flat really soft area with no rocks, and using that seat belt material so my legs aren't getting smashed and if one of the horses runs into it it won't hurt them, plus it'd be completely round so June wouldn't try turning in the cornerish areas
(Phoenix is smiling but it's blurry)
1 month difference, gettin in shape
