Is it just me, or do these prices seem ridiculous?
Okay so another post by this person.. I keep thinking she's pricing horses outrageously, but maybe I'm missing something?? Idk. But she's got another horse for sale for $9,500 and it definitely does not seem worth that much. But I think she successfully sells them. What's the dealio?

It says 1500? I don't think that's that bad of a price. People will pay anything if they want it enough lol and the papers/names sound fancy

Though personally it should ne like 1000 maybe

But here most horses are over $1000 or $2000.

Now, what you typed, $9500, would be outrageous LOL

But I assume it's a typo

She stated that the same person has a $9,500 horse in addition to this $1,500 filly.

Different horse lol, the $9,500 one has been started on poles and barrels and is "currently clocking bottom of the 4D but has potential to be 1D" in my area I see 2D horses for $9,000, so I think she bases their price off their potential and not what they actually are. The $1,500 one is high for my area, that's twice what I gave for June, yet if I had them side by side a year ago June probably would have been a better horse, that one is... scraggly looking lol and pretty much no training. You're just paying for the papers.
But I guess she markets them to just the right people.
I never understood how some people can sell any horse for any amount, I've never had any luck when I sell a horse, I usually lose money. I couldn't even sell big beefy buckskin cutting trained mare with two eyed jack on her papers for $1,500 :th

I don't know how to explain it very well because I'm not really into barrel racing, but d is for division. 1D is the fastest, 2D is a little slower, 3D is slower than that, and 4D even slower. If I'm not mistaken, it goes to 6.
@PeepersMama, not really something you have to know unless you're going to barrel race him

I was just looking the horses over more closely and realized that on the back of June's leg above her hoof she has this cut thing (I seen it the other day but she wouldn't let me get a good look) and I just realized Reno has one on each back leg as well. What could cuase it? And will spraying wound spray on them help?

That's what it looks like to me... Or hobbles... but that should be front legs or one front and one hind if sidelining them...

To heal it, I would clean it as well as they will let you, then keep them moist to keep the scabs from cracking when they move. If you wanted to bandage to keep cleaner and keep the moisture in, Maxi pads work great, get the thick ones without wings, take the little strip off the back and use the adhesive to stick it to some gauze, so the absorbent part of the pad goes on the wound, then wrap loosely with gauze and then put tape over the top to keep the gauze clean and dry, then just cut it all off to clean and wrap it back up.
