@BantyChooks that one still has not crowed... That I have seen/heard.
The other dummy does all the time.

It would take compensation of several million to get me to voluntarily venture near Houston. Hot weather + lots of people? Terrible.

:lau oh come on, it can’t be that bad!! Although maybe Boston would be more up your alley? :p

Boston is far from my alley. I was in Worcester once for a conference years ago—nearly started running like a panicked deer. I'm a country gal through and through.

I've been to San Diego and Florida too. I have zero desire to go to either place again. Even Grand Rapids, MI was too much and too hot. Needless to say, I'm not a traveller.

Well no wonder you almost ran, Worcester sucks!! LOL you need to go to some of the better parts of the state!! Ha California and Florida suck too, way too populated. You need to go to the way less populated states. You might like New Hampshire or Maine. Much less populated and gorgeous mountains and forests lol and if you go way up near the Canadian border in the Great North Woods in Maine, it’s just like home. :lau

I've spent time in both states. They're not bad. I'd be fine with living in northern Maine—no permanent roads, no townships, and no people? Sign me up!

I'd like to retire in a place like that.
