I shed horse feathers. They are an awful problem this time of year. Any thoughts for stopping the feather loss. I am a grey and black feathered horse and considered quiet and easily managed. I have a friend Rooster about 8 years old and a hen about 2. They have lovely feathers which are butterscotch white and black. Rud quite noisy and Whey is a lovely mixture of brown and grey. they are Rustic and much to my disagreeable temperament are constantly suggesting self improvement books. I TAKE IT WITH MIXED GRAIN however and go about my business. Come by the barn post sometime and Ill offer some sweet timothy for lunch.

What kind of draft horse do you have? I would check his legs for any scratches or infections. Drafts sometimes get mud scratches/fever that can cause feather loss.
