On the rescue link they have a mare named Goldie, was going to a new home, transporter took her to the feedlot instead and traded her for a saddle? So instead of reporting the horse as stolen (once they found out where she ended up) they collected donations to get her out of the feedlot?
Great work. Those pictures had me in tears a few times. My husband knows better than to ever let me go to the horse sale, i'm bad enough about bringing everything else home. I don't think there's anything more pitiful looking than a thin horse.
Oh my - I get such a pit in my stomach when I see pix like these. I'm glad there are people who can do this daily work of rehabbing horses. I'd be crying every time I went out to the barn.
Thanks for sharing. I'm pretty sure I've seen some of these horses listed for sale on the Mpls Craigslist. Now I know who is selling them.
