Lovely pics! Great to see an ex racer enjoying another job after the track. I too have an ex racer, have had him for 11 years now and would not swap him for the world. We don't do anything fancy hacking out mainly and enjoying each other company.

Sounds like an enjoying life for a retired racer. I bet he's a happy horse.

We currently have 3. All performance horse. Or well ponys. Whatever.

The big grey is mine, the lil paint and red pony are our daughters.

We've had a lot more. This is just the current herd.

You should all have a go at polocrosse. Its a fantastic sport which is growing in popularity in the US. Quarter horses are great at it but all horses will play it.

I have two at the moment both quarter horses my husbands 5 year old mare Bijous talkin jade (Sundance kid) she is a palomino with big butterscotch dapples that is so sweet my year old son can ride her and then there is my 8 year old gelding Kings Mr ojos (Butch Cassidy or butchy) he is a red dun, he is a big sweetheart but will only let me ride him and no one can get near him if I'm not there. We are thinking he was abused by one of his previous owners because he is extremely headshy and has a 50 cent peace size break in his ribcage (we think it's from the butt of a whip or riding crop) he also doesn't trust most people. On the bright side both horses are extremely protective of us if someone they don't like or don't trust comes too close they will place themselves between the person and us.
