Horsetail Plant

Is horsetail plant toxic to chickens and ducks? I know it is for horses, so I’m wondering if I can keep that section for chickens...

I had to look it up on the internet and yes, it's toxic to chickens. I didnt look it up for ducks.

There are videos on edible acres where they have planted elder trees as part of their chicken composting system. Surely chickens know wht they can and cant eat?
