Host a BYC Traveling Mascot!

Quote:
The mascots have been moving around for 3 years now. At first, there were so many people signed up to host, they had to get more mascots. It only took a few months before mascots started going missing, though. After a year of begging people to please send on the mascots, the original Mascot Tracker threw in the towel. Then babymakes6 and wegotchickens took over. They bought new mascots, and again, after less than a few months, they were begging people to send them on, or post, or SOMETHING.
They all have journals to write their adventures in
Speaking of which, does anyone know where Beakers Journal is? It's been missing for quite some time. If someone has it, PM me.. I'll pay to have it shipped to me!

Anyway.. with so many people, and not too many of them are Girl Scouts

what started as a wonderful idea has turned into more of a hassle than anything else.

Hey Heather- I'll be the mascot sanctuary if you want.

I think this is a great idea. I did when I was younder to. But it only works if everyone is willing to participate. And im still a Girl Scout btw

i went threw the whole program and my reward was a lifetime membership lol. If this is still going on I would love to host a mascot! They can come spend a week with my spoiled indoor ducks! lol Just let me know where to send information.

I was a Girl Scout when younger, and was a leader for my daughter from Brownies through Juniors. I also had "neighborhood" positions, and was a trainer for the county. Oh, and I'll bet you'd never believe, but I was a counselor at the girl scout day camp for 3 years. I may have to go back to being a GS when the granddaughter gets old enough. So all her little friends will be jealous of how cool a grandmother she has. LOL

I went daisy's threw senior. Thats why i got a life time membership from my neighborhood. Me and my friend were the frist 2 to do that in our neighborhood in 20 years. I still help out at the day camps and at the actual camps lol. Its always so much fun. Even when I was a younger girl scout I always planned the arts and crafts for all the camps. Missed out on doing the summer camp this year because I finally have a real job that wont let me leave lol. I know that if my neighborhood ever gets short on leaders I will sign up for my own troop but untill then I am waiting for a child of my own. And you would deffinitly make a really cool grandma being a leader!

Are you guys still sending the mascots out? Or do they have permanent homes? I think they might enjoy a week meeting my indoor duckies! And the 3 little ducklings running around as well.

The mascot program is still going, however, Beaker is being retired from the rotation.

He is the original mascot, and has so many adventures that I don't want to take the chance on him getting lost like so many others have.

I HATE having to retire him-and maybe once people have hosted another mascot and proved they will share adventures and send them on, they can have a turn hosting Beaker.
I am STILL trying to get the hosts who have the other mascots to send them on.

I can put you on the list for him, but it will be a few weeks.

Sure, let me know when I should PM my address. Tell him to pack his trunks and suntan lotion-it's hot here.
