hot chicks tonight?

ok, 8 chicks, 4 weeks old in the barn in a large metal water trough with a light (125 watts) about 3 feet up, and pine bedding. Temp probably getting to 40 at night. Are they ok, or should I go get them? I dont want them to freeze, I just got them today.

Well the only thing you can do is keep an eye on them. If they are cold they will pile with is a bad thing. Sorry this reply is a little late.
