I'm noticing some definite hot and cold spots in the incubator (a still air Hovabator). It's nearly full of eggs this time around, so that is an issue. How high can I keep the temp in the hot spots (mainly the center) to compensate for the cold spots (mainly the corners). Seems to be a 1-2 degree difference.

If the corners are colder at the same level as other parts of the incubator then its because air from the vents is creating a draft there.

The air in a still air incubator should settle in to layers like this,

If its not then I would think its over ventilating. You could try putting one of the vent plugs in an see if it don't even out.

102 at the top of the egg is as hot as I would keep it.
