Hot day for the chickens

Can you feel inside her vent for an egg?

I did Its soft is it supposed to feel hard. And I don't know if this is a behavior that happens a lot but it seems like at night when they're on the perch The other hens and I'm not kidding you she's in the middle of the perch and the hens have their wings over her literally and smushed against her I've never seen this before has anybody have ever seen this behavior before with the other chickens.

If an egg was low enough, you would feel it.

Not sure what you're asking about during roosting - can you get some photos? How much space do you have for roosting, how many birds?

I know there's plenty of room for them on their perch not rooster I meant their perch This all started on a really hot day it was like 88 degrees their first hot day.

Perch, roost - same thing.

Doesn't sound like they have enough room if they are all crammed together and don't have room to spread out their wings to cool off.

Yesterday was a cool day so they weren't hot. I just thought they were sensing she wasn't feeling good and cuddling up cuz I've never seen it before but they do have a lot of room I did my research before getting my chickens and I kind of made the coop bigger for them.
