Hot or cold

I’ve heard from the people in the forum thst the heat lamp I’m using can get very hot and I was worried that it could overheat and kill my three week old chicks. But if I don’t keep it on the chicks are going to have to deal with temperatures of 72-75 (they are only three weeks old) what would be the best choice? Turn on lamp possible overheating or leave it off freezing (I have two chicks

How old are the chicks? Have a big enough brooder that one side can be Warner and the other cooler is ideal

They are only three weeks and their ”house” is too small to not Get covered entirely in light

If they have 80% feathers on them you don't need a heat lamp on the chicks indoors.

Can you move the heat lamp further/higher? Positioning is everything.
