You pick them out with love and excitement for what will they be. I bring them home. Set them up with all the love and care I can. In a safe place. To wake up with them on my mind and praying and hoping they are all OK. I walk into the coop and I’m not hearing them talk. My heart drops and I open the door to find them all in the water dish... wet, cold and lifeless. I swoop them all up and start praying as I dry them all off and see what I’m dealing with. I lost one and saved 4! This is how I found backyard chickens. Look for information on how to best help them overcome there trauma and water in the ears and 1 with water in the lungs.
I’m excited to be here

As of now ... all four are doing very well. I just have one that I’m a little worried about.
