Hot weather side-effect

Does hot weather cause birds to shed some of their feathers here and there? I've just noticed more feathers on the ground-- no bare spots or anything.

yea sometimes the heat will do that cuz my chickens do it sometimes during the summer but don't worry it'll grow back bright and healthy
