Houdan pullet or roo?

He/she still has mostly feather shafts so he looks almost the same as 10 days ago. I wonder if something is wrong?

She is adorable! At 3.5 weeks, mine had mostly feather shafts. He/she is 5 weeks old now and I will try to catch him tomorrow for an updated pic. I don’t see a nice soft round ball of fluff on mine though so probably boy. I bought 4 eggs for mama hen and so far 3 are confirmed male. This Houdan is my last hope for a girl. My rooster ratio is 75-100%!View attachment 2747619

What a cutie! I love this breed. I plan on adding more next year. Definitely skittish and not sociable but a hoot to watch. I wouldn't give up hope. Give them another month. My crevecoeurs I couldn't tell until right at 60 days when one suddenly sprouted horns. Their heads looked exactly alike.
