Too young. No crested variety should be sexed based on hats at such a young stage.

I got hatching eggs from a woman in NY. Excellent hatch rate, I think 4 of 6! I did not find her on BYC though

I love the Houdan breed! Too bad they're so hard to find. I lost my Houdan Roo months ago and still have no luck in finding another. My hens are lonely!
