[Mrs. Fluffy Puffy]

A friend of mine has 2 Mollted Houdan hens, and they are real sweeties. Anybody have these? Pics??

I have them in bantam. They are very sweet mild mannered birds, nothing bad at all to say about them.
wish they'd lay more is all!

I used to have a Roo. I wish I could have kept him, but I didn't want a standard Roo. I just sold him to someone who wants to breed him. Im hoping to get a pullet from one of his babies

Ya, they are dang close to the standard. I still have yet to see a real Houdan like the drawing in the standard book of perfection. They say 1 out of 4 feathers should be tipped in white. (if I remember correctly) I have never seen one yet that has white tips. I just see random white feathers.

My houdan are definitely my favorite birds. Mine lay really well and are a nice calm bird (mine are standards). I am hoping this year to hatch out several of their eggs and work on improving their color some.
