Hours old chick attacked by flock.

Hi everyone. This little is from a friends broody hen. We think it was kicked for being runty? (We arent really sure why) but the others went for and ripped open the skin on and under the left leg. The little is still very much alive and internal organs do not appear damaged as far as i can tell. This little is under 24hrs old. i am trying to figure out if I can/should save it or if euthanasia is the better/kinder choice. Please take a look at the pic and tell me if and how youve managed to save a baby like this.

Also, i rinsed the wound gently with saline and am keeping the little warm for now.
