House duck

When paco was 5 week duckling he became very sick, coughing, sneezing, very weak, wasn't eating or drinking. I took him to vet and i was informed that he had phenomnia, so I began treating him for that and then at 8 weeks he got stepped on by my dog, so he wasn't getting up or moving and I took him to vet for that and got it fixed. After that he doesn't get around very well and cannot keep up with his duck friends. He is inside overnight and some time during day depending on the weather he will go out with his duck friends. I have him inside so i can keep an eye on him. He is my baby! Extremely friendly duck, people are surprised when they meet him that he is so friendly. Sorry for the long post .

Paco and his friends are very well loved! I have a special place in my heart for animals. I grew up on a farm and live on a farm. I have never had ducks til Paco and his sister were dropped off at my farm. The other ducks that I accumulated came from Amish and Mennonite and weren't properly cared for and pretty much living in filth. They are happy and healthy now. And no i am not breeding paco with his sister, i have a friend who has a female pekin. Paco and her female duck both won champion and best of breed at local fair so that's why wanted to breed them.

Yes I will let you all know. I will put a post up. Speaking of which if you can help me out with another question I have on hatching. I have a blue swede hen sitting on eggs. I had 13 at first then there is only 5 the other eggs I had to toss because they began to stink and rot and when I toss them I see that there was a embryo a very small duckling and would like to know why would they die so early at embryo stage? I'm not incubating them I am just letting the duck do all the work.
