house Hens?

I have a house chicken! He's a 5 week old Silkie Mix Roo and he got picked on by a couple of my hens so I moved him into the house to heal. He does make a mess! But is content with sitting on a towel in my lap or at least within view of me. I let him out to free range a couple hours a day and he roosts in a dog crate at night. There are chicken diapers that I've seen on this site. You might want to search for them and see if anyone is selling them. If you have a sweetheart of a chicken that is pretty calm I think you'll enjoy having a house chicken.

Am I alone in thinking that limiting a chicken's world to "life in the house" is unfair? They get such joy from all outdoor activities.
