Hi All,
I have always allowed a rooster or two to stay with the hens, but now that I am hoping to show I am concerned with feathering on both sexes. I have 4 standard breed cockerels (black copper marans) who are now interested in the girls (who they were hatched with) causing fights among themselves and gang rapes to go on. Do those of you who are showing house your males individually. If I had a rooster run would that stop the fighting that has started (not too bad yet, just more male peeking order stuff). My laying flock has two roosters who respect each other and rarely skirmish at all. Any input?
