Housing for ducks

I have 10 ducks. Five are Rouens and five are Pekin/ Golden Hybrids. In the winter they spend it in my 8 x 15 fiberglass greenhouse and get out to free range every day. I use liddy pools for them to clean and drink. The water gets refreshed every day, and whats in the pool is poured on the compost piles or fed to my perennials and bamboo.

I have a 4x6 house with 12x4 runs on each side. The house is split in the middle to keep the breeding strainght.

The pens are there for predator control, so in the morning I let them out of the coop, and give them feed and fill the pool if needed. We have hawks and eagles during the day and coyotes and owls at night so security is a must. They get locked in every night.

I also keep the feed and water outside and only give them feed in the morning. If by chance there is any left over by the time I lock them up, it goes with me. Rat control is very important, especially when you have eggs all over the ground as they are not as discriminate as chickens.

The mess is prety incredible, so I have a pile of wood chips obtained from the tree trimming services, and use that for mud control . Also clover so far has done well to keep some ground cover intact.
