So I’ve got an aggressive golden pheasant hen. She can’t go with the outside ducks and chickens, because she constantly gets out. She isn’t allowed in the yard with the others, so we can’t leave the coop/aviary open so the others let themselves in at night. She is currently inside in a spare macaw cage, because she attacks the silkies inside.

Is there a way to get her to be less aggressive? If not, what are alternative housing? The macaw cage doesn’t feel big enough.

Update: Till spring, we’ve got a friend to let us borrow their coop. It’s empty, and she’s staying in that. When the weather warms up, we are making her an aviary all to her own!

Okay, so for her aviary. I want to get some plants, anyone have suggestions? I was thinking ornamental grasses, and maybe some kind of small tree/bush for roosting.
