I am selling off my 9 laying hens since I will not have time to care for them in the coming months. They have a chronic respiratory disease, but do not show any symptoms unless they are under extreme stress (heat, etc.).

Some of them are very friendly lap chickens and easy to handle. I would like them to go to a nice home, but I understand their CRD makes this difficult. I do not mind if they are used for meat. I am asking $100 for the entire flock of 9 hens, or $11 each.

Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

Cute birds. :love

Anybody would have to be crazy to take them EVEN for processing EVEN if you were giving away for free. :hmm

That being said, Good for you for making full disclosure! I wish more people would be honest. :highfive:

Maybe consider hiring someone to process for your freezer at your place so no other birds are exposed? Once feathers and heads are removed you REALLY can't tell who you are eating. And it would be a much more responsible choice than letting someone else take these birds and spread their illness undisclosed to countless others for a lousy $100.

Good luck! :fl
