Hova Bator Help I'am New.

Don't be obsessed about the humidity, just keep water in the center trough for days 1-17 and then have both troughs full for days 18+, just like the instructions say. Your house will be fairly dry with all that ventilation and cool air, so you will need to add water to the incubator every two, or three days. Don't worry about it, just keep an eye on it and add a cup or so when the trough runs dry.

Have fun!

Thanks everyone, I have'nt put the eggs in yet, because I was having a problem getting the temperture to stay at 100, I did finally get it to 110, so now I turned the thermostat down , now I'am waiting on it to get to 100 and stay at that for at least a couple of hours. Since its so late, I think I will wait and put them in , in the morning, if the temperture is right.

Leave the eggs out until it has stabilized for at least 8 hours.

Make only small adjustments until you get it there. Then leave it alone.

It will drop when you add eggs - leave it alone and do not adjust.

DO not place it on a towel - place it on a piece of foam insulation board.

Put it in the bottom of a little used closet - there less environmental fluctuation there than almost anywhere else in the house.

Use thermal buffers, like rocks or pieces of tile, to take up the space where there are no eggs.

If you are hand turning, do it through the windows - don't open the top for this.

Keep the vents open. Be very careful of this

Do not add water until you read this:

Read it about three times, and then come back and report what you have learned.
