Has anyone purchase a Hova-Bator Model#1588
incubator?

If you have... Can I get some comments or reviews on it?

Well, I purchased the 1588 Electronic Thermostat
Hova-Bator.

But I need some advice

I have an incubator thermometer "Spot Check" by
Brinsea, model# 3510 and it is now reading 99.7(F)
degrees with the water weasel.
I'm happy with this reading.

The GQF Dial Hygrometer model# 3018 with the wick
in the water pan is reading 87 percent Farenheit with
the red vent plug out . Approx. 60%
Little to high I think.

I can not get it in the 45 and 50% range.
Between 81 and 84 degrees (F)

What can I do to get it at the right Wet Bulb Range
Temperature?

Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated

I assume you added some water when you set it up. If so, you can get a sponge or towel and soak up some of the water. If the humidity where you live is usually high you might want to read the Dry Incubation article by Bill Worrel

Another way to controll the humidity a bit more easily is to place several wet sponge pieces on the grate. You can add or remove them more easily than taking the thing apart to get to the water trays. Humidity is controlled by the evaporative surface not the volume. To reduce the humidity the area exposed to the air needs to be smaller. When it comes time to increase the humitity you can put water in the trays. I have also used a small baby food jar and placed that on the grate to make adding water easier.
