hova bator

We have one. A few years ago I hatched some quail eggs in it. This year we have some Guinea eggs in it as we speak. The best I can tell you is to keep it in a room with a some what stable ambient temperature. Dont make too many, if any adjustments to the thermostat. if you do, give it at least a day to settle out.It is pretty well set to the proper temp when new. Put your water in it for the humidity and if it gets too high, remove one or both of the plastic plugs from the top to allow it to escape.I use an $8.00 Digital hygrometer/thermometer from Walmart to monitor. Just put it where you can see it thru the window. Try to get it stable before you add the eggs if you can. Dont worry about removing the lid for a time to add water or turn the eggs if you dont have a turner. hens come off the nest all the time.
I hope this helps.
OH!! and the pointy end of the eggs go down if you do have a turner.
