We got a hovabator and the temp was too high now its too low from 102 to 87 and dropping how do i fix it to the right temp its not working the light doesnt come one eaither!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is where mine is set. it stays at 99 to 100 degrees. Give it about a day to settle when you make a change.

You can't just tell the right temp from the switch. You need a thermometer and humidity gauge. Accurite has some at local Wlmt., H.D. etc. Put thermometer at level of top of eggs. You can download instructions at www..gqfmfg.com/pdf/Thermal Hova-Bator Instructions.pdf .
You must set to turn light on,then monitor it for a day or two keeping small increments of change, just up it till light comes on. When stable for 24 hours you can add eggs. Don't adjust for at least 24 hours! or you will yoyo the temp. It takes a while to get eggs up to temp.It needs to be in a room where temp stays 70-75 degrees or you will have problems. If you add water , make sure it is warm. I have had problems with mine intermittedly. It seems if you take lid off to turn eggs, and set lid down wrong, it can cause a problem in waffer. Twice I had temp fluctuations after lid removal and return. Also there are temp spikes you have to watch for near end of development when eggs produce heat... I am home and check mine several times a day and still don't have it figured out, but then I am hatching ducks and geese....
