Long story short: my best broody hen went broody for 2 days, so I order her some fertile eggs. Next day, she stops being broody... and the next day. I panic, fretting that the babies in the mail will have no chance, as I have no incubator.. so I have no choice but to order an incubator that could get to me FAST.. so I found a company to send me a 2362n with the turner at a good price (the 2-day shipping made me cry a little though!) I wanted a 1588, but they were out of stock. (So that'll be the next bator purchase.. can't have one of these so I hear.. heh..)

So my question is, does anyone have any tips for operating the 2362? I'm a little leary of this 'wafer thermostat'.. I've been doing all the research I can on incubating, and on this bator, familiarizing myself with the instructions, etc. Picking up a digital unit for temperature and humidity today. I'm most concerned with how to adjust the temp and humidity.. just want to do the best I can for these little babies!

If I understand correctly the 2362n is the model with the fan an a wafer thermostat. My opinion this is one of the best setups you can have. It should be rock steady both in temp an humidity. The wafer thermostat is old school in some peoples eyes but it works very well. I would not worry about the incubator. Just study up on what humidity you want to run.

Thanks! I just picked up a nice digital hygrometer with temp. Anyone else have any little tips/tricks for this type of bator, or could lead me to a thread that has some good info on hatching?
