hovabator genesis

ok, just checking I think the little thermometer that came with it is not so accurate seems to be stuck at 98, but that could be the way it is positioned on the little card.....

My 1588 has never gotten to the right temp. Perhaps on hatch #3 I'll get it right.

got a better thermometer and its right at 100, committed 17 eggs to the experiment
16 speckled sussex X dominique and 0ne seabright!!

if I get 10 to hatch I would be soooooo stoked!!

Tad - you can add a piece of aquarium tubing through the vent hole (red plug - pull it out) and that allows you to add water with a kid's medicine syringe. This keeps the heat in while you add water because you do not have to lift the lid. It will also help you figure out exactly how many cc's give you how much relative humidity. Right humidity = good
Lifting lid & releasing heat/humidity = bad
