Hovabator vent plugs with duck eggs

Hey guys - I'm incubating some mallard eggs for the first time and I was wondering what to do with the vent plugs. Some people say leaving them out helps hatch rate so they get more oxygen. I'm using a Hovabator forced air with an auto turner. Thanks for the help!
